This issue summarizes the dynamics of security intelligence information in various regions around the world from February 3rd to 9th, 2025. According to the security risk assessment, the security levels of various regions are as shown on the global risk map. Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Ukraine, Palestine, Israel and other regions are classified as extremely high-risk areas. During this period, armed conflicts, terrorist attacks and other security incidents occurred frequently in these regions. Chinese-funded enterprises stationed abroad need to enhance their own security precautions. This information is only for internal risk assessment purposes of our company.
The Middle East region
(1) Syria
A car bomb attack in Manbij City killed 15 people and injured 15 others. On February 3rd, a car bomb attack occurred in Manbij, Aleppo Province, northern Syria, resulting in 15 deaths and 15 injuries. On that day, a car carrying bombs exploded as it passed another car carrying farmers, resulting in a large number of casualties. So far, no organization or individual has claimed responsibility for this attack.
Explosion scene
The south was hit by Israeli air strikes. On February 8th, an weapons depot belonging to the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Deir Ali region of southern Syria was hit by an Israeli air strike. There have been no reports of casualties yet.
(2) Iraq
Five members of an extremist organization were killed in Kirkuk Province. On February 4th, Iraqi security forces launched a military operation in Kirkuk Province against the hideout of the extremist group "Islamic State" militants, killing five people and seizing a large number of weapons and explosive devices.
(3) Palestine and Israel
The conflict between Palestine and Israel has claimed 47,000 lives. On February 6th, statistics from the medical department of the Gaza Strip showed that since the new round of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict broke out on October 7th, 2023, the military operations of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip have led to 47,583 Palestinian deaths, 111,633 injuries, and thousands of people missing. Residential areas in central Gaza were hit by air strikes
A shooting incident in the West Bank of the Jordan River left one dead and seven injured. On February 4th, a shooting incident occurred at an Israeli military checkpoint in the West Bank of the Jordan River in Palestine, leaving seven Israelis injured, two of whom were seriously wounded. On that day, a Palestinian armed man approached the Israeli military's Tayasser checkpoint and opened fire on Israeli soldiers. The attacker was killed by the Israeli army.
(4) Lebanon
The Israeli attack has caused hundreds of casualties. The Asia-Pacific region
(1) Afghanistan
One person was shot dead and one injured at the UN aid mission's base. On February 3rd, the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) base in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, was shot at by unknown armed men, resulting in the death of one Afghan security force member and the injury of one UN staff member. At present, the attacker is at large and the relevant investigation is underway.
(2) Pakistan
Multiple attacks have left 21 people dead or injured. On February 4th, a Pakistani military patrol vehicle was attacked by Pakistani "Taliban" (Batar) militants in the Mir Arit Silqadi area of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, resulting in 10 soldiers being killed or injured. On the same day, armed conflicts broke out between the Pakistani military and the "Bata" militants in the Khwezi Bayzai area of the Cape Province, resulting in the deaths of 2 soldiers and the injuries of 8 others. (3) The Philippines
The police arrested the suspect in the kidnapping case. On February 4th, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Philippine police arrested John Oliver Villanueva Coulson, a suspect who had been involved in multiple kidnapping cases, in the southern part of the country. The police said that the suspect had planned two kidnapping cases and was involved in the kidnapping of Chinese citizens.
Four people were killed in the crash of the US plane. On February 6th, a plane contracted by the US military crashed in the southern part of the Philippines, killing one US soldier and three defense contract workers. On that day, nine prisoners attacked prison guards with homemade tools and attempted to escape. In the exchange of fire between the prison guards and him, three prisoners were killed and six prisoners who were attempting to escape were arrested. (V) Myanmar
A group of victims from the Myawaddy Telecom fraud complex in Myanmar have been rescued. On February 6th, 61 victims of the Myawaddy telecom fraud park in Myanmar were rescued. The rescued people include 39 Chinese, 13 Indians, 1 Kazakh, 5 Indonesians, 1 Ethiopian, 1 Pakistani and 1 Malaysian. At present, Myanmar has handed over these personnel to the Thai authorities.
The African region
(1) Nigeria
Multiple attacks have left two people dead and 45 kidnapped. On February 5th, a kidnapping incident occurred in Kazina State in northwestern Nigeria. At least 35 women were kidnapped by armed bandits after attending a wedding. On the same day, a kidnapping occurred on a highway in Ondo State, with about 10 people being kidnapped. On January 6th, an explosion occurred at a school in the suburbs of Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, resulting in two deaths and two injuries. The explosive was a simple explosive device, detonated by three foreign men. Two of them died on the spot and two others were injured. A campus fire in Zamfarah State has left 17 people dead and many injured. On February 4th, a fire broke out at a school in the Koala Namoda Local Government District of Zamfarah State, Nigeria, resulting in at least 17 students' deaths and multiple injuries. (2) Democratic Republic of the Congo
Armed conflicts continue in the east. From February 3rd to 8th, the government forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the anti-government armed group "M23 Movement" have been engaged in continuous fighting in North Kivu Province and South Kivu Province, resulting in approximately 2,900 deaths. Recently, tensions in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have escalated sharply. (3) Niger
Two Chinese citizens were kidnapped in Agadez Province. (4) Sudan
Armed conflicts continue. From February 3rd to 9th, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Force continued to engage in fierce battles in the areas surrounding the capital Khartoum, the western city of Omdurman, and multiple fronts in the central region. The armed conflict that has lasted for more than a year has led to a large number of casualties. From February 1st to 6th alone, at least 275 civilians were killed in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, North Darfur, South Darfur, North Kordofan and South Kordofan due to shelling, air strikes and drone attacks. As of now, the conflict has claimed approximately 29,700 lives and displaced 15.08 million people in Sudan, accounting for about 30% of the total population.
Europe and America
(1) The United States

A traffic accident in the southeast claimed 41 lives. On February 8th, a bus and a truck collided at the border between the southeastern states of Campeche and Tabasco in Mexico, causing a fire that has claimed 41 lives.
(4) Sweden
The shooting incident in Orebro has left 11 people dead and many injured. On February 4th, a shooting incident occurred at an adult training school in Orebro, Orebro Province, Sweden, resulting in at least 11 deaths and multiple injuries.
