Based on security risk assessment, the security levels of various regions are as shown in the Global Risk Map. Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel are classified as extremely high-risk areas. During this period, security incidents such as armed conflicts and terrorist attacks occurred frequently in these regions. Chinese-funded enterprises stationed abroad must enhance their own security precautions.

Middle East Region
(I) Syria
Six Killed in Israeli Military Attack on Syrian Capital. On August 25, an Israeli military unit consisting of 11 military vehicles and approximately 60 soldiers invaded the Beit Jinn area in the Rif Dimashq Governorate (rural Damascus) of the Syrian capital, causing no casualties. On August 26, Israeli drones launched an airstrike against Syrian government forces near the town of Kiswah, south of the Syrian capital Damascus, resulting in 6 deaths. Syria strongly condemned Israel's "military invasion" and called on the United Nations to take prompt and effective measures to curb Israel's "aggressive acts" and safeguard Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
(II)Palestine and Israel
The ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict has resulted in 63,000 deaths among Palestinians. From August 25 to 31, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted continuous attacks across the Gaza Strip, causing significant casualties. On August 25, the IDF struck Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, killing at least 20 people, including five journalists from Reuters, the Associated Press, and Al Jazeera. UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the attack and renewed his call for an immediate and durable ceasefire in Gaza and the unconditional release of all detainees. As of August 29, the IDF's military operations in Gaza since the latest hostilities began have caused 63,025 deaths and 159,490 injuries among Palestinians.

Protests Erupt in Tel Aviv. On August 26, another large-scale demonstration broke out in Tel Aviv, central Israel, to protest Israel's continued military operations in the Gaza Strip. Demonstrators called on the Israeli government to reach a ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and release the detained individuals. On the same day, tens of thousands of people took to the streets and highways of Tel Aviv, blocking roads and setting tires on fire, which at one point paralyzed traffic.

Houthi Rebels Claim Attack on Israeli Airport. On August 27, Yemen's Houthi rebels issued a statement saying they had attacked Ben Gurion International Airport, south of Tel Aviv, with a "Palestine-2" hypersonic ballistic missile on the same day, in response to the Israeli military's continued military operations in the Gaza Strip. Israel has yet to respond to this claim.
(III) Yemen
7 Killed and Multiple Injured in Israeli Airstrikes on Capital Sanaa. On August 25, media reports stated that Israel launched multiple airstrikes on Sanaa, the Yemeni capital controlled by the Houthi rebels, on August 24, killing at least 6 people and injuring 86 others. The Israeli military claimed that it had struck a military base, a fuel storage facility, and two power stations in Sanaa that day. On August 28, Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, was hit by Israeli airstrikes once again, resulting in the death of Ahmed Rakhawi, the head of the Houthi rebels' administrative agency, and injuries to multiple people.
(IV) Lebanon
On August 28, multiple locations in southern Lebanon were targeted by Israeli airstrikes; no reports of casualties or property damage have been issued so far. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the strikes aimed at military facilities in southern Lebanon affiliated with Hezbollah.
Asia-Pacific Region
(I) Afghanistan
25 Killed and 27 Injured in Traffic Accident West of the Capital. On August 27, an intercity bus overturned on the highway connecting southern Kandahar to the western part of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, leaving at least 25 people dead and 27 others injured. A preliminary investigation indicated that the accident was caused by the driver's improper operation.
(II) Pakistan
Multiple Attacks Cause Heavy Casualties. Between the night of August 25 and 26, militants from the "Baloch Republican Guard" in Pakistan set up a blockade on the Dasht Quetta-Sibi Highway, approximately 58 kilometers from Quetta, and launched an attack on passing Pakistani security forces, resulting in multiple casualties. On August 25, Pakistani security forces were ambushed by Taliban militants in the Upper Dir area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, leaving 2 people dead and at least 6 others injured. On August 26, a shooting incident occurred in the Site Super Highway area of Karachi, Sindh Province, Pakistan, causing at least 4 deaths and 1 injury. On August 28, a Pakistani military vehicle was hit by an explosive attack in the Parom area of Panjgur, Balochistan Province, resulting in the death of at least 3 soldiers.
(III) Philippine
1 Killed and 1 Injured in Armed Clash in Capiz Province. On August 26, an armed clash broke out between the Philippine government forces and the anti-government armed group "New People's Army (NPA)" in Tapaz Town, Capiz Province, central Philippines. Several members of the "New People's Army" were killed and injured in the clash. During the exchange of fire, one government soldier was killed and another was injured.
(IV) Australia
2 Killed and 1 Injured in Shooting Incident in Victoria. On August 26, a shooting incident occurred in the small town of Borriyanka in northeastern Victoria, Australia, leaving 2 police officers dead and 1 person injured. On the same day, 10 police officers were shot at by a man while carrying out a search operation in Borriyanka; the gunman then fled to the surrounding mountains and forests with weapons. At present, the police have cordoned off Borriyanka and nearby towns to hunt for the at-large gunman.
(V) Indonesia
One Killed Amid Protests in Multiple Locations. On August 28, protest demonstrations erupted in Jakarta and other industrial cities across Indonesia, escalating into riots and leaving one person dead. The protests were jointly organized by the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation and the Labor Party, with demands for the government to advance labor tax reform and revise relevant laws and regulations.In Jakarta, approximately 10,000 workers gathered around the Parliament Building and the Presidential Palace. Some protesters set tires on fire and confronted the police, resulting in damage to public facilities and traffic paralysis in multiple areas. The police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd.On the evening of the 28th, a police armored vehicle struck and killed an online motorcycle taxi driver near Jakarta’s Parliament Building, which subsequently triggered large-scale street riots. Some demonstrators burned police booths and multiple civilian vehicles near overpasses and damaged public facilities. By the end of the night, nearly 400 people had been arrested by the policeIn addition, solidarity actions were held in industrial hubs such as Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Batam, and Makassar.

(I) Nigeria
3 Injured in Armed Attack in Bauchi State. Security Alert Issued. On August 25, an attack occurred in a village within the Tafawa-Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, leaving at least 3 people injured. Following the incident, the Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State has ordered multiple tactical teams to take urgent action to restore order and calm in the area.

According to a monitoring report by security officers of Hanwei International stationed in West Africa, the Nigerian criminal gang "Unique Opportunity" has recently been rampant in carrying out kidnappings, robberies, and other criminal activities in areas such as the capital Abuja, Kaduna State, Niger State, Nasarawa State, and Kwara State. Multiple cases of kidnapping, injury, and death involving foreign citizens have been reported.When committing crimes, the gang often lures passengers by offering shared taxi rides. To lower passengers,vigilance, there are usually female gang members posing as "fellow passengers" in the taxi. After attracting foreign citizens to board the vehicle, the gang carries out kidnappings and demands exorbitant ransoms; if the ransom is not paid, they may even "kill the hostage" (murder the victim).Chinese-funded enterprises and citizens in Nigeria are advised to enhance security awareness, remain highly vigilant, and take adequate security precautions. They should reduce solo outings and avoid taking local taxis as much as possible.
(II) South Africa
Chinese Embassy in South Africa Issues Security Alert. On August 25, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa issued a security alert stating that in recent times, a series of serious violent crimes targeting Chinese nationals, including murder, robbery, and kidnapping, have occurred consecutively in multiple parts of South Africa. Over the past more than 50 days, 7 Chinese citizens have been killed in succession.In response to this situation, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa has reminded Chinese compatriots and employees of Chinese-funded enterprises in South Africa to remain highly vigilant, strengthen precautions, avoid going out alone, stay away from areas where incidents have occurred, and ensure the safety of their lives and property.
(III) Congo (DRC)
2 Chinese Citizens Missing After Chinese-Funded Mining Enterprise Attacked in Ituri Province. On August 25, media reports stated that a construction site of a Chinese-funded mining enterprise in Ituri Province, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), was attacked by anti-government armed groups, resulting in 2 deaths and 2 Chinese citizens being reported missing. At present, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Chinese Embassy in the DRC are maintaining close communication with the DRC side and making every effort to search for the missing Chinese citizens.
(IV) Angola
Chinese-Funded Farm Robbed in Icolo e Bengo Province On August 28, an armed robbery occurred at a Chinese-funded farm near the Zango area in Icolo e Bengo Province, Angola, during which one Chinese employee was taken hostage. After the incident, the joint defense patrol team fired warning shots to force the gangsters to release the Chinese employee and flee. An investigation revealed that one farm security guard colluded with three external individuals to plan and carry out the robbery.
(V) Sudan
Armed Conflicts Continue. From August 25 to 31, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces engaged in continuous exchanges of fire in multiple parts of Sudan. This week, fierce clashes broke out between the two warring parties in the capital Khartoum and its surrounding areas. On the 27th, residential areas in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State in western Sudan, were hit by large-scale artillery shelling, resulting in the deaths of 24 civilians and injuries to 55 others. The armed conflicts that have lasted for more than two years have left over 30,000 people dead and more than 12.9 million people displaced in Sudan. UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged all warring parties in Sudan to cease fire immediately, take measures to protect civilians, ensure the free and safe passage of civilians, and guarantee the safe, unimpeded and continuous access of humanitarian aid to El Fasher.
(VI) Chad
Cholera Outbreak in Wadai Province Kills 63. On August 25, the Chadian Ministry of Public Health and Epidemic Prevention reported that an ongoing cholera outbreak in eastern Wadai Province had resulted in 63 deaths. Since late July, a total of 938 suspected cases have been reported in the province.The outbreak, which began in the Djouré refugee camp in Wadai Province, has spread across the province and continues to see rising infections.
Europe and America Region
(I) United States
20 Killed and Injured in Minnesota School Shooting. On August 27, a shooting incident occurred at a Catholic school in the southern part of Minneapolis, Minnesota, the United States, resulting in 3 deaths (including the gunman and 2 children) and 17 injuries. At the time of the incident, a 23-year-old gunman opened fire indiscriminately at children sitting on pews through a church window before committing suicide. Currently, the motive behind the gunman's attack remains unknown.

(II) Ukraine
Ongoing Armed Conflict Between Russia and Ukraine. From August 25 to 31, Russia continued its special military operation in Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently released a combat report stating that over the past week, the Russian military had carried out 7 cluster strikes using high-precision weapons and attack drones against targets in Ukraine, including the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, air force bases, tactical missile storage depots, 139 drone facilities, and fuel depots. Russia’s air defense systems shot down 16 guided aerial bombs, 1 Neptune long-range missile, 2 U.S.-made HIMARS rockets, and 2,151 fixed-wing drones. Additionally, the Russian military took control of 6 settlements in the Donetsk region and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. On the Ukrainian side, within the week, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Ukrainian troops had repelled Russian attacks in multiple directions and destroyed a large amount of weapons and equipment. The Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces, and artillery units attacked 5 concentration areas of Russian personnel and equipment, 3 command posts, multiple electronic warfare stations, and artillery systems. Ukrainian special operations forces launched strikes on Russian military logistics facilities in Crimea and the Dzhankoy railway station. Furthermore, on the 25th, Russia and Ukraine each repatriated 146 captured military personnel to the other side.
Former Speaker Shot and Killed. On August 30, Andriy Parubiy, former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament) and former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, was shot and killed in Lviv, a city in western Ukraine. On the same day, a man wearing a food delivery uniform and riding an electric bicycle shot Parubiy repeatedly on the streets of Lviv, resulting in his immediate death. The perpetrator fled after committing the crime, and both the perpetrator’s identity and motive remain unknown.
(III) Mexico
2 Killed and 2 Injured in Shooting Incident in Guanajuato State. On August 26, a shooting incident occurred in the Olimpo neighborhood of Salamanca, Guanajuato State, Mexico, leaving 2 people dead and 2 others injured. At present, no details about the incident have been reported, and the police have launched an investigation into the attack.

(IV) Colombia
34 Soldiers Kidnapped in Guaviare Department. On August 25, 34 soldiers who were carrying out a mission to combat anti-government armed groups in Guaviare Department, south-central Colombia, were kidnapped by unidentified individuals. The kidnappers demanded the retrieval of the body of an armed militant. On the 28th, Colombia’s Ministry of National Defense announced that all 34 kidnapped soldiers had been released.
(V) Ecuador
3 Killed and 1 Injured in Two Shooting Incidents. On August 25, a shooting incident occurred in the Eloy Alfaro suburb of Manta, Manabí Province, Ecuador, leaving two men dead. On the same day, another shooting incident took place in Ciudadela Los Andes, northern Machala, El Oro Province, Ecuador, resulting in one death and one injury.
(VI) Russia
140 Civilians Killed or Injured in Attacks Across Multiple Locations. On August 26, Miroshnik, a roving ambassador of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that over the past week, the Ukrainian military had fired at least 2,300 rounds of ammunition at civilian facilities within Russian territory, resulting in 19 civilian deaths and 121 injuries. The weapons used in the attacks included multiple rocket launchers, artillery, mortars, grenades, and drones.
