This issue compiles global regional security intelligence and dynamic information from September 1 to 7, 2025. Based on security risk assessment, the security levels of various regions are as shown in the Global Risk Map. Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel are classified as extremely high-risk areas. During this period, security incidents such as armed conflicts and terrorist attacks occurred frequently in these regions. Middle East Region

(I) Syria

Damascus hit by Israeli air strike: On September 3, the area near Damascus International Airport, the capital of Syria, was attacked by Israeli drones. No reports of casualties have been received so far.

(II) Palestine and Israel

Palestinian deaths from Palestine-Israel conflict reach 64,300: From September 1 to 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched continuous attacks on multiple locations in the Gaza Strip of Palestine, resulting in a large number of casualties. The Gaza Strip health department issued a statement on September 1, stating that the IDF's military operations in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours had killed 98 Palestinians and injured 404 others, and some houses and tents housing displaced persons were destroyed. As of September 5, since the outbreak of the new round of Palestine-Israel conflict, the IDF's military operations in Gaza have killed 64,300 Palestinians and injured 162,005 others.

Jerusalem witnesses demonstration rallies: From September 3 to 6, to mark the 700th day of the outbreak of the Palestine-Israel conflict, thousands of Israeli people held a three-day protest in Jerusalem, calling for an early end to the war and the return of detained persons to their homes. On September 4, in a residential area near the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, demonstrators set fire to a trash can, and the fire spread and burned a car. On September 6, in Jerusalem under Israeli control, a large number of people gathered on major roads, causing traffic paralysis for a time.


Israeli airport attack injures 8: On September 4, the Houthi armed forces issued a statement saying that the group had launched a "Zulfiqar" ballistic missile at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, Israel, and hit the target. The attack affected the operation of flights at the airport, and some people took shelter in air defense facilities. In this regard, the Israeli side has not yet responded. On September 7, the Israeli security department reported that a drone launched from Yemen crashed and exploded at Ramon Airport in southern Israel, injuring 8 people.

(III) Yemen

Roadside bomb attack in Abyan Governorate kills 14: On September 5, a patrol convoy of the Yemeni government forces was attacked by a roadside bomb in the Mudiyah area of Abyan Governorate in southern Yemen, killing at least 3 soldiers and injuring 11 others. So far, no organization or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.


Attack in Marib Governorate causes multiple casualties: On September 6, a government forces stronghold in the Fariha area of southern Marib Governorate, Yemen, was attacked by Houthi armed drones, causing multiple casualties, including Khalid al-Musanna, Chief of Staff of the Southern Front of Marib Governorate of the government forces.

(IV) Lebanon

Southern Lebanon hit by Israeli air strike: On September 1, media reports stated that a Hezbollah target in southern Lebanon was attacked by Israel on August 31. No reports of casualties or property losses have been received so far. The Israel Defense Forces said that the air strike targets were Hezbollah activity strongholds and related military infrastructure in the Beaufort Ridge area of southern Lebanon.


UNIFIL attacked by Israeli forces: On September 2, peacekeepers of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) were attacked by the Israel Defense Forces, with no casualties reported. On the same day, UNIFIL peacekeepers were clearing a roadblock near the "Blue Line" of the temporary Lebanon-Israel border when Israeli military drones dropped 4 hand grenades near UNIFIL, one of which landed less than 20 meters away from the peacekeepers and their vehicles. After the attack, the cleaning work was suspended. UNIFIL stated that the Israeli military still launched an attack on UNIFIL even though it was aware in advance that UNIFIL would conduct road cleaning work here, which seriously violated UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and international law, and this act was unacceptable.

Asia-Pacific Region

(I) Afghanistan

Eastern earthquake kills 2,206: A magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred at 23:47 on August 31 in Nangarhar, Kunar and other provinces in eastern Afghanistan. The epicenter was located 27 kilometers northeast of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar Province, with a focal depth of 8 kilometers. As of September 2, the earthquake had killed 2,206 people, injured 3,640 others, and damaged approximately 8,000 civilian houses.

(II) Pakistan

Multiple attacks kill 24 and injure 37: On September 1, media reports stated that a police checkpoint in Mirali Tappi, North Waziristan Province, Pakistan, was attacked by unknown armed men on August 31, killing at least 3 people (including 1 police officer) and injuring 1 other. On September 1, a girls' school in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, was attacked by a bomb by the Pakistani "Taliban", with no reports of casualties yet. On September 2, a suicide bomb attack occurred at a stadium in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan Province, killing 21 people (including the attacker) and injuring 36 others. At the time of the incident, the local political party "Baloch National Party" was holding a rally at the stadium to commemorate the late leader Sardar Attaullah Mengal. One attacker detonated the bomb on his body in the stadium parking lot. So far, no organization or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.

(III) Myanmar

Attack on Gaoliak Bridge repair team kills 1 and injures 8: On September 1, a bridge repair team was attacked by "suicide drones" of the Karen National Union (KNU) and the People's Defense Force (PDF) at the Guona Bridge on the Asia Highway between Gaoliak and Myawaddy, Myanmar, killing 1 repair worker and injuring 8 others. It is reported that in order to take control of the Asia Highway, the Karen National Union (KNU) and the People's Defense Force (PDF) have recently carried out multiple malicious incidents such as bomb attacks, vehicle arson, and bridge bombings on this road section.


Landmine explosion in Tanintharyi Region kills 1 and injures 2: On September 1, a family of three riding a motorcycle triggered a landmine on the Tavoy-Ye City Highway between Mayan Chaung Village and Gole Village, Ye Phyu Township, Tavoy District, Tanintharyi Region, Myanmar, killing 1 person and injuring 2 others. On the same day, they found tree roadblocks on the road. When the father tried to remove the branches, the landmine exploded.

(IV) Philippines

China's Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs issue security warnings: On September 1, China's Ministry of Education issued an overseas study security warning, pointing out that in the recent period, vicious cases targeting Chinese citizens in the Philippines have continued to occur frequently, and the local public security situation and overseas study environment are not good. The Ministry of Education reminds those who plan to study in the Philippines recently to enhance their awareness of prevention, strengthen risk assessment, and carefully plan their overseas study arrangements. At the same time, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a notice, reminding Chinese citizens in the Philippines and those planning to go to the Philippines to enhance their security awareness, avoid traveling to areas with chaotic public security, and ensure their personal and property safety. In case of emergency, please call the police in time and contact the Chinese embassies and consulates in the Philippines for help.

African Region

(I) Nigeria

Multiple attacks kill 11 and kidnap 80: According to the monitoring report of Hanwei International's security officer stationed in West Africa, on the afternoon of August 31, unknown gunmen attacked Lairi Village in the Barikin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing 1 person. On the same day, armed bandits attacked DanKurmi Village in the Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing 4 local villagers and kidnapping at least 79 people. On the evening of September 3, armed bandits attacked Dappo Village in the Tungan Wawa Community of the Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State, killing 2 local villagers and injuring 3 others. In the early morning of September 4, a patrol police team was ambushed by armed men in the Ipu South Community of the Obehie Local Government Area of Abia State, killing 2 police officers. On the afternoon of the same day, the joint security forces performing tasks were ambushed by armed bandits in Fegin Mahe Village of the Mada Community of the Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing 2 police officers. In the early morning of September 5, armed kidnappers attacked the Gwantu Community of the Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State and kidnapped 1 government official.


Security Warning: According to the monitoring report of Hanwei International's security officer stationed in West Africa, recently, gangster groups plan to kidnap foreign citizens in the border area between Kogi State and Kwara State of Nigeria. Chinese-funded enterprise personnel and Chinese citizens in this area are specially reminded to reduce going out, strengthen security precautions, and ensure personal and property safety.


Shipwreck in central-northern Nigeria kills 60: On September 3, a shipwreck occurred in Niger State in central-northern Nigeria, killing at least 60 people, injuring 10 others, and leaving many people missing. On the same day, a ship carrying more than 100 passengers sank after hitting a large tree in the river while traveling from Tungan Sule in the Shagunu area of Niger State to the Duga area. At present, the search and rescue operation is still ongoing, and the death toll may rise.

(II) South Africa

Vehicle falling into river in Ekurhuleni kills 6: On September 1, a car lost control and fell into the river in the Zonkiizive River section of the R550 Highway in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng Province, South Africa, killing 6 people in the car.

(III) Niger

Armed attack in Agadez Region kills 3 and injures 3: On September 2, two government military positions in the Agadez Region of Niger were attacked by armed men, killing 1 soldier and injuring 3 others. During the exchange of fire, 2 attackers were killed and 1 was captured. After the attack, the attackers also launched an attack on a nearby Chinese enterprise camp. No casualties of Chinese personnel have been reported so far. The anti-government armed group "Movement for Patriotism, Liberty and Justice" (MPLJ) has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that this is the beginning of a series of future operations.


Chinese Embassy in Niger issues security reminder: On September 3, the Chinese Embassy in Niger issued a security reminder, stating that currently, terrorist attacks occur frequently in many parts of Niger. The "Movement for Patriotism, Liberty and Justice" (MPLJ), split from the anti-government armed group "Patriotic Front for Liberation" (FPL), recently warned all foreign enterprises to immediately withdraw from Niger's territory, and any project cooperating with the Niger military government regime will become a target of attack. The Chinese Embassy calls on Chinese citizens and overseas Chinese in Niger to stay alert and strengthen precautions. Chinese-funded enterprises should improve security measures and emergency response plans to ensure the safety of personnel and property. (IV) Sudan

Armed conflict continues: From September 1 to 7, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces continued to exchange fire in many parts of Sudan. This week, the two conflicting parties broke out a new round of exchanges of fire in the Darfur region, killing at least 200 civilians. The armed conflict that has lasted for more than two years has killed more than 30,000 people in Sudan and displaced more than 12.9 million people.

(V) Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)

Ebola outbreak in central DRC kills 15: On September 4, Congolese Health Minister Kamba said that a new round of Ebola outbreak occurred in Kasai Province in central DRC. As of that day, 28 suspected infection cases and 15 death cases had been reported in the Bulape area of Kasai Province. This is the 16th Ebola outbreak in the DRC since 1976.

Europe and America Region

(I) United States

3 shooting incidents kill 1 and injure 2: On September 3, a man was shot and injured in a residence in the 1300 block of Franklin Street in Michigan City, Indiana. On the same day, a shooting incident occurred at a tire shop at 2731 Range Line Road in Memphis, Tennessee, killing 1 person. On September 4, a shooting incident occurred in New Britain, Connecticut, injuring 1 man.

(II) Ukraine

Russia-Ukraine armed conflict continues: From September 1 to 7, Russia's special military operation in Ukraine continued. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently released a battle report stating that in the past week, the Russian military used high-precision weapons and attack drones to launch precise strikes on targets such as Ukraine's military-industrial complex, air force bases, fuel depots, and fuel infrastructure. It shot down 11 guided aerial bombs, 6 "Neptune" long-range missiles, 2 U.S.-made "HIMARS" rockets, and 2,256 fixed-wing drones. It took control of the Novoselovka settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region. In addition, the Russian military attacked a reconnaissance and sabotage team from Ukraine in the Dnieper River waters. Shooting incident in Sinaloa State kills 1: On September 1, a shooting incident occurred in Culiacán, the capital of Sinaloa State, Mexico, killing 1 police officer. On the same day, the police officer was driving in the Villa Bonita community when he was intercepted and shot by unknown attackers. The attackers then fled the scene by car. At present, the police have launched an investigation into the shooting incident.

(IV) France

Knife attack in Marseille kills 1 and injures 5: On September 2, a knife attack occurred in Marseille in southeastern France, injuring 5 people, and the suspect was shot dead by the police. On the same day, a Tunisian man was evicted by the hotel manager for failing to pay the accommodation fee. Later, the man stabbed the hotel manager, his son, a tenant, and 2 passers-by with a knife, and was shot dead by the police for resisting arrest. At present, the possibility of a terrorist attack has been ruled out.


Car ramming into pedestrians in Manche Department kills 1 and injures 6: On September 6, a car rammed into pedestrians in Pirou, Manche Department in northern France, killing 1 person and injuring 6 others. According to the preliminary investigation, the driver suddenly felt unwell while driving, and the car lost control and crashed into the crowd. Multiple attacks kill 4 and injure 8: On September 1, Canadian police shot and killed a suspect who was holding a knife and trying to attack passers-by on Madison Avenue in Burnaby, Vancouver, British Columbia. On the same day, a shooting incident occurred at the South Health Campus in Calgary, Alberta, with no casualties reported. On September 2, a stabbing incident occurred in an apartment building in the West Hill Community at 4301 Kingston Road in Scarborough, killing 1 person. On September 4, a knife attack occurred in the Hollow Water First Nation Reserve in Canada, killing 2 people (including the attacker) and injuring 8 others.

(VI) Chile

Chinese national robbed in Santiago, the capital: On September 1, a Chinese citizen was carrying 200 million Chilean pesos (approximately RMB 1.472 million) in cash at an office building in Santiago, the capital of Chile, preparing to deposit it in a bank when he was hijacked by 2 armed gangsters in the parking lot, and all the cash was robbed. At present, the police suspect that it was a "crime committed by an acquaintance", and the relevant investigation is ongoing.
