Middle East Region

(1) Syria

Daraa Province Bombed by Israeli Forces. On June 3, several villages in southern Syria's Daraa Province were bombed by Israel, resulting in casualties and property damage, though specific figures remain unclear. The Israeli military stated the bombing was in response to two missile attacks launched from southern Syria targeting the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights earlier that day.

(2) Palestine and Israel

Palestinian-Israeli Conflict Death Toll Reaches 54,700 in Palestine.From June 2 to 8, Israeli forces continued attacks on southern and central Gaza Strip, causing significant casualties. On June 3, an aid distribution point in Rafah, southern Gaza, was fired upon by Israeli forces, killing 27 and injuring over 190. On June 5, airstrikes in central and southern Gaza killed at least 70 and injured 189. As of June 7, since the latest escalation of the conflict, Israeli military operations in Gaza have resulted in 54,772 Palestinian deaths and 125,834 injuries.

Israel Targeted by Missile Attacks from Yemen's Houthi Rebels.On June 2 and 6, central and southern Israel were hit by missile attacks from Yemen's Houthi rebels, with no reported casualties or property damage. These marked the fifth missile attacks by the Houthis against Israel in the past week.

(3) Lebanon

Southern Suburbs of Beirut Bombed by Israeli Forces.On June 5, the Dahieh area in southern Beirut, Lebanon's capital, was struck by Israeli airstrikes, collapsing multiple buildings, though no casualties were reported. Lebanese Prime Minister Salam condemned the attack as a blatant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and UN Security Council Resolution 1701. The Israeli military claimed the airstrike targeted an underground drone production facility operated by Hezbollah in residential areas of Dahieh.

Asia-Pacific region

(1) Afghanistan

Chinese embassy in Afghanistan issues safety reminder.On June 5, the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan reminded Chinese citizens and organizations in Afghanistan, especially in northern provinces such as Badakhshan and Takhar, to avoid long-distance travel and unnecessary outings recently. If travel is necessary, ensure sufficient security personnel are in place. In case of emergencies, report to the police promptly and contact the embassy for assistance.

(2) Pakistan

Attack on police at Karachi prison leaves 1 dead and 3 injured.On June 2, during the transfer of prisoners at a prison in Karachi, the capital of Sindh Province, Pakistan, an attack on prison guards occurred, resulting in the death of 1 prisoner and injuries to 3 guards, with hundreds of prisoners escaping. Earlier that day, prisoners had been temporarily moved out of their cells due to an earthquake, after which the attack took place. Hundreds of prisoners seized weapons, assaulted the guards, and then broke open the gates to flee. So far, police have recaptured about 80 prisoners, with the remaining fugitives still at large.

(3) India

Stampede in Bangalore city leaves 11 dead and 50 injured.On June 4, a stampede occurred outside a stadium in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka State, India, killing at least 11 people and injuring 50. At the time, thousands of fans were celebrating the victory of the Royal Challengers Bangalore cricket team in the Indian Premier League. During the celebration, a stone slab on a drainage ditch collapsed, causing a large number of fans to fall and triggering the stampede. Currently, four management personnel of the event organizer have been arrested, and several police officers, including the Bangalore Police Commissioner, have been suspended.

(4) Japan

A Chinese tourist injured in attack in Kyoto city.On June 6, a Chinese tourist was injured in a knife attack by an unknown assailant in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, Japan, with the perpetrator still at large. After the incident, the Consulate General in Osaka immediately contacted and consoled the injured tourist, demanding that Japanese authorities swiftly apprehend the suspect and severely punish the attacker. The Chinese Embassy in Japan reminded Chinese citizens in Japan, especially tourists, to enhance safety precautions.

(5) Myanmar

Defense Army extends temporary ceasefire.On June 1, the Myanmar Defense Army Headquarters announced that to expedite earthquake disaster reconstruction and achieve national peace and stability, the temporary ceasefire would be extended again until June 30. During this period, ethnic armed groups and other armed organizations must not interfere with or attack civilian transportation routes, nor assault security force camps, military bases, or other facilities carrying out security and law enforcement operations.

 

Africa region

(1) Nigeria

A Chinese citizen kidnapped in Kwara State.On June 4,Oreke-Oke-Ibo in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara Statea mining sitewas attacked, resulting in the deaths of 2 police officers and the kidnapping of 1 Chinese citizen and 1 Nigerian citizen. Kwara State Commissioner of Police Adekimi Ojo strongly condemned the atrocity,stating that the police are taking effective action to rescue the abductees.

   Security Alert 1:According to the monitoring report by Hanwei International's security officer in West Africa, from June 7 to 8, Chinese-owned mining enterprises in Ogun State face the risk of armed attacks and robberies. Special reminder: Chinese enterprises and individuals in Nigeria, especially in Ogun State and surrounding areas, should minimize outdoor activities, avoid areas frequented by extremist groups and bandits, and closely monitor security dynamics around camps and residences. In case of emergencies, please report to the police promptly and contact the embassy or consulate.

Security Alert 2:According to the monitoring report by Hanwei International's security officer in West Africa, the 'Take It Back Movement' plans to hold nationwide protests on June 12. Chinese enterprises and citizens in Nigeria are advised to avoid unnecessary outings, enhance security measures for camps and residences, stock up on daily necessities such as food and medicine, and maintain communication channels. In case of emergencies, report to the nearest police station and contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in Nigeria.

(II) South Africa

The Chinese Embassy in South Africa reminds overseas Chinese to guard against violent crimes.On June 2, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa issued a notice stating that the security situation in South Africa has continued to deteriorate recently, with several violent incidents involving overseas Chinese, including kidnappings and fatal home invasions, severely endangering personal and property safety. The embassy urges all overseas Chinese to heighten security awareness, avoid or reduce risks of violent crimes, carefully choose business and residential locations, stay away from high-risk areas, avoid traveling after dark, and maintain a low profile to avoid flaunting wealth. In case of emergencies, seek help from the police, embassy, or local Chinese community policing centers.

(III) Democratic Republic of the Congo

An attack in Tanganyika Province left 1 Chinese citizen injured.On June 2, a vehicle carrying Chinese citizens was attacked by unidentified armed militants on the road between Katanga and Kibije villages, approximately 35 kilometers north of Kalemie, the capital of Tanganyika Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The attack resulted in the deaths of 1 police officer and 1 local, with 5 people injured, including 1 Chinese citizen.

(IV) Uganda

A suicide attack in the capital Kampala left 2 dead and multiple injured.On June 3, a suicide bombing occurred near a church in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, resulting in 2 deaths and multiple injuries. On the same day, two motorcycle-riding suspects were intercepted by the military near the church, and the suspects subsequently detonated their explosives. The identities of the attackers remain unknown, and relevant investigations are ongoing.

(5) Zambia

Copperbelt ProvinceChinese citizen killed.On June 5, the Chinese Embassy in Zambia issued a statement reporting that a Chinese-owned farm in Kitwe City, Copperbelt Province, was robbed by armed assailants on May 29, leading to the death of one Chinese national. Investigations revealed that the crime was orchestrated through collusion between local security guards employed by the farm, former employees, and the robbers. Following the incident, the Chinese Embassy in Zambia promptly dispatched a working group to the scene, urging Zambian authorities to concentrate police efforts on solving this case and other violent crimes involving Chinese citizens in recent years, to swiftly apprehend and severely punish the perpetrators, and to effectively fulfill their duty to protect the safety of Chinese enterprises, institutions, and individuals, as well as their property. Currently, 2 out of the 5 suspects involved have been apprehended, while the police are intensively pursuing the remaining fugitives.

(6) Sudan

Armed conflict continues.6, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces engaged in continuous clashes in the capital Khartoum and multiple areas in the central and western regions, resulting in significant casualties. Among the incidents, a United Nations aid convoy was attacked on June 2 in the Koma area of North Darfur State, Sudan, killing 5 humanitarian workers, injuring several others, and burning multiple trucks and humanitarian supplies. The ongoing armed conflict, which has lasted over two years, has claimed approximately 30,000 lives in Sudan and displaced nearly 13 million people.

 

Europe and America

(1) United States 

3 shooting incidents leave 2 injured.On June 3, a shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Ft. Campbell Blvd in Clarksville, Tennessee, with no casualties reported, and 3 suspects were arrested. On the same day, another shooting took place in North Charleston, South Carolina, injuring one person. On June 4, a shooting in Toledo, Ohio, left one woman injured.

(2) Ukraine 

Russia-Ukraine armed conflict continues.From June 2 to 8, Russia's special military operation in Ukraine continued. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently released a combat report stating that over the past week, the Russian military conducted six rounds of cluster strikes using high-precision long-range air-, sea-, and land-based weapons, as well as attack drones, targeting Ukrainian military design bureaus, weapons and military equipment production and repair facilities, attack drone assembly plants, flight training centers, and weapons, military equipment, and ammunition storage warehouses. All predetermined targets were hit. Russian forces gained control of one settlement each in the Sumy and Donetsk regions. On the Ukrainian side, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that hundreds of battles occurred along the frontlines during the week. Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks on multiple fronts and launched several offensives. The Ukrainian Armed Forces and Security Service successfully struck an "Iskander" missile system in Russia's Bryansk region and carried out an "underwater attack" on the Crimean Bridge. Additionally, this week, Russia handed over 503 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers to Ukraine, while Ukraine transferred 42 bodies of soldiers to Russia.

(3) Russia

Multiple areas attacked byUkrainianmilitaryforces.On June 5, a Russian train was attacked by an explosive device while passing through the Voronezh region, damaging the tracks but causing no casualties. On June 6, the Engels Air Base in Russia's Saratov region and the Dyagilevo military airfield in the Ryazan region were targeted by Ukrainian missile strikes, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage. Additionally,the Russian Ministry of Defense stated thaton June 6 and 7, Russian air defense forces intercepted and shot down 82 Ukrainian drones in the Moscow, Kursk, and Bryansk regions, among others.

(4) Germany

Munich school attacked with irritant gas, injuring 17.On June 5, an unidentified individual sprayed irritant gas at a school in the Allach district of Munich, southern Germany, injuring 17 people, eight of whom were seriously hurt. Police are currently investigating the incident.

Two attacks leave 7 injured. On June 7, two separate attacks in Germany resulted in one death andat least7 injuries. That day,a man drove a car into a crowd in the southern German city of Passau, injuring at least5 people. On the same day, a woman stabbed at least two people in the Thalkirchen Park in Munich, southern Germany. The woman was shot by police during her arrest for resisting and later died from her injuries.

(5) Mexico

Fire at Guanajuato rehab center kills 12, injures 6.On June 2, media reported that a fire broke out on the 1st at a drug rehabilitation center in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato, central Mexico, resulting in 12 deaths and 6 injuries. All the deceased were inpatients at the center. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and prosecutors have launched an investigation. This marks the second fire incident at a rehabilitation center in the state this month.

(6) Colombia

Capital BogotáShooting incident leavespresidential election candidateseverely injured6June7, Colombian Senator and presidential candidate Miguel·Uribe wasshotin Bogotá, sustaining serious injuries. The attack occurred while Uribe was attending a political rally in the capital. A man dismounted from a motorcycle and fired multiple shots at Uribe at close range.So far, onesuspect has beenarrested, and the Ministry of Defense is investigating whether others were involved.

  

Maritime Security

(1) Phillip Channel

Merchant shipsattacked by pirates.On June 2, media reported that pirates carried out six consecutive attacks on merchant vessels passing through the Phillip Channel between May 2 and 7. As a strategic waterway linking the Singapore Strait and the Malacca Strait, the channel is ahotspot for piracy.Since 2025,the waters have witnessed a total of50 piracy incidents, a 212% increase from the 16 cases recorded during the same period last year. All attacks occurred between 2:45 AMandduring the low visibility period from 2:45 AM to 6:30 AM. Currently,only2 cases resulted in the theft of engine spare parts, with no crew casualties or injuries.
