Middle East Region
(1) Syria
Syrian-Lebaneseborder clashes result in 10 deaths and 52 injuries.On March 17, media reported that three Syrian soldiers were kidnapped and killed on the 15th at theSyrian-Lebanese border. Subsequently, armed clashes erupted between the two countries. On the 16th, the Syrian army shelled a Hezbollah gathering site on the Lebanese border, killing 7 and injuring 52. Rivers State declares a state of emergency.On March 18, according to a monitoring report by Hanwei International's security officer in West Africa, Nigeria's southern Rivers State entered a state of emergency. The reason is that the Rivers State governor's ongoing confrontation with the state legislature has paralyzed the state government. (II) Ukraine
The armed conflict between Russia and Ukrainecontinues.From March 17 to 23, Russia's special military operation in Ukraine persisted. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently released a combat report stating thatover the past week, Russian forces conducted 13 cluster strikes using precision weapons and drones against Ukrainian military facilities, including airfields, assembly workshops, ammunition depots, and drone storage and operator training bases.
