This issue summarizes the dynamics of security intelligence information in various regions around the world from March 10th to 16th, 2025. According to the security risk assessment, the security levels of various regions are as shown on the global risk map. Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Ukraine, Palestine, Israel and other regions are classified as extremely high-risk areas. During this period, armed conflicts, terrorist attacks and other security incidents occurred frequently in these regions. Chinese-funded enterprises stationed abroad need to enhance their own security precautions. This information is only for internal risk assessment purposes of our company.
The Middle East region
(1) Syria
The capital Damascus was hit by an Israeli air strike. On March 13th, a residential building in the western suburbs of Damascus, the capital of Syria, was hit by an Israeli air strike, causing severe damage to the building. There are no reports of casualties for the time being.

An explosion of war relics in Latakia Province killed 10 people and injured 14. On March 15th, an explosion occurred in Latakia, the capital of Latakia Province in western Syria, killing at least 10 civilians and injuring 14 others. On that day, an explosion occurred when the military was dismantling war relics inside the building, resulting in the deaths of 10 people, including 3 women and 2 girls, injuries to many others, and trapping many people under the debris. At present, the rescue operation is still ongoing.
(2) Iraq
One leader of the extremist group "Islamic State" was killed. On March 14th, Abdullah Maki Musley Rafi, the leader of the extremist group "Islamic State", was killed by the Iraqi military. Iraqi Prime Minister Sudani said that the leader was "one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and around the world".
(3) Palestine and Israel
The conflict between Palestine and Israel has claimed 49,000 lives in Palestine. On March 15th, the Israeli army attacked the northern Gaza Strip town of Baitrahia, killing at least 12 Palestinians and injuring 14 others. Statistics released by the Gaza Strip's health department on the 15th show that since the outbreak of the new round of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip have caused nearly 49,000 Palestinians to die and nearly 112,000 to be injured.
(4) Lebanon
One person was killed in an Israeli air strike in the south. On March 11th, a truck in the southern Lebanese town of Faron was attacked by Israeli drones twice, resulting in one death and vehicle damage.
(V) Yemen
The capital Sana 'a was hit by an air strike by the US military, killing 31 people. On March 15th, the Houthi armed military base in Sana 'a, the capital of Yemen, and other targets were hit by five US air strikes, resulting in at least 31 deaths, including women and children, and 101 injuries. On that day, the US military launched large-scale strikes against the radar, air defense facilities and unmanned aerial vehicle systems of the Houthi armed group in Yemen from both the air and the sea. The US side said that the military operation might last for several weeks with the aim of opening up the Red Sea passage.
The Asia-Pacific region
(1) Afghanistan
Heavy rainfall caused floods, resulting in 80 deaths. On March 12th, the Natural Disaster Management Agency of the Interim Government of Afghanistan released a statement saying that the floods caused by heavy rainfall in the past month have claimed at least 80 lives, injured over 100 people, and destroyed 1,800 houses and 18,000 mu of farmland across the country.
(2) Pakistan
Two attacks in Balochistan Province have killed 79 people. On March 11th, a passenger train in Pakistan was attacked by terrorists near Sibi in Balochistan Province, resulting in the deaths of 25 people, including 4 soldiers. On that day, on the way from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan Province, to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhpur Province in the northwest, dozens of armed men blew up the railway tracks and forced the train to stop, taking hundreds of passengers on board hostage. After the incident, Pakistan dispatched its army, air force, border guards and special forces to carry out rescue operations. After more than 30 hours of fierce fighting, a total of 33 terrorists were killed and 356 hostages were rescued. The extremist terrorist organization "Balochistan Liberation Armed Group" has claimed responsibility for this attack. On March 16th, a convoy of Pakistani security forces was attacked by a suicide car bomb in the Nushki area of Balochistan Province, resulting in five deaths, 21 injuries and three terrorists being killed by the security forces. After the incident, the terrorist organization "Balochistan Liberation Armed Group" claimed responsibility for the attack.

Rallies were held in many places to show support for Duterte. (4) Japan
One person died in a training accident in Nagano Prefecture. On March 13th, a training accident occurred at the Ground Self-Defense Force in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, resulting in the death of one officer. That night, when the assault team of the 12th Brigade of the Ground Self-Defense Force was conducting a rappelling training, a machine gun carried by one of the assault team members fell from a 15-meter-high tower and hit the head of an officer on the ground, causing his death. At present, the Ground Self-Defense Force has established an accident investigation committee to look into the cause of the accident.
The African region
(1) Nigeria
Multiple attacks resulted in 15 deaths and 28 people being kidnapped. According to the monitoring report of the security officer of Hanwei International stationed in West Africa, on March 9th, multiple villages in the Arewa Local Government District of Kaibi State, Nigeria, were attacked by the "Lakurawa" armed group, resulting in 13 deaths, multiple injuries, and 7 villages being burned down. On March 10th, suspected Fulani armed herders attacked the Farin Dutse community in the Nasarawa local government jurisdiction of Nasarawa State, resulting in several deaths and the destruction of a large number of houses. On the same day, unidentified gunmen attacked a construction site in the Ilu-Abo community of the Akure South local government district in Ondo State, kidnapping nine local workers. On March 11th, an unknown gunman broke into the village of Dnako in the Bwari district of the federal capital, Abuja, and kidnapped nine local villagers, including the village head. On the same day, unidentified gunmen attacked the village of Dogon Ruwa in the Abaji district of the federal capital Abuja, killing two security personnel. On March 12th, armed kidnappers successively attacked four communities under the jurisdiction of the Kajuru local government in Kaduna State, and 10 community residents were kidnapped. On the same day, three armed bandits kidnapped a man and a woman in the Ebe area of Enugu State. During this period, the woman escaped while the man was kidnapped. On March 13th, armed bandits set up checkpoints along the Barci Road in Nasarava State to intercept passing vehicles. One of the people in the vehicle is suspected to have been kidnapped.
The meningitis outbreak in Keby State has claimed 26 lives. On March 11th, the health department of Kebi State, Nigeria, confirmed that a meningitis outbreak had occurred in the state, which had caused at least 26 deaths. The current round of the epidemic began to spread in Keby State at the end of January. Currently, there is a sharp increase in cases in three regions. Meningitis is an infectious inflammation of the subarachnoid space and meninges, which can be caused by viruses, bacteria, protozoa or fungi. It is mainly transmitted through kissing, sneezing, coughing and sharing tableware. The symptoms include fever, headache, stiff neck and so on.
(2) South Africa
A highway traffic accident resulted in 16 deaths and 35 injuries. On March 11th, a bus overturned on the R21 highway at Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, resulting in 16 deaths and 35 injuries. At the time of the incident, a bus lost control and overturned to prevent a small car from braking suddenly, resulting in a large number of casualties.
(3) Somalia
Seven people were killed and many injured in the attack on Xilan Hotel. On March 11th, an armed attack hit a hotel in Belled-Win, Hillland, central Somalia, resulting in 7 deaths and multiple injuries. The hotel was severely damaged. On that day, a group of armed men detonated a bomb at the hotel entrance and forced their way into the hotel. Somali security forces arrived and, after 24 hours of fierce fighting, repelled the militants. After the incident, the Somali Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
(4) South Sudan
Armed conflict broke out in Nasir County. From March 10th to 15th, the People's Defense Forces of South Sudan broke out in armed conflict with the local armed group "Opposition to the Sudan People's Liberation Movement" in Nasir County of the country, causing a large number of casualties and civilian displacement. At present, the situation in South Sudan has deteriorated sharply. On March 11th, Uganda dispatched a force to South Sudan to assist the South Sudanese government in dealing with the current tense situation.
(V) Democratic Republic of the Congo
Armed conflicts continue in the southeast. From March 10th to 16th, the government forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the anti-government armed group "M23 Movement" engaged in continuous exchanges of fire in many areas of North Kivu and South Kivu provinces in the east of the country. The conflict has caused a large number of civilian casualties and dispositions, and tensions in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have escalated sharply. On March 13, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) announced the termination of the mandate of its SADC troops stationed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and their phased withdrawal from the country.
25 people were killed in the shipwreck accident in the province of Maien-Dongbei. On March 10th, a shipwreck occurred on the Congo River in the Mushi area of Mayen-Dongbe Province in western Democratic Republic of the Congo, resulting in 25 deaths, multiple people missing and 30 people rescued. At present, the cause of the sunken ship remains unknown.
(6) Sudan
The ongoing armed conflict has caused a serious humanitarian crisis. From March 10th to 16th, the Sudanese armed forces and the Rapid Support Force continued to engage in fierce fighting in the capital Khartoum and on multiple fronts in central China, resulting in approximately 30,000 deaths and 12.9 million people being displaced. The UN Security Council said on the 13th that the armed conflict in Sudan, which has lasted for nearly two years, has caused the country the "world's largest and most destructive" humanitarian crisis. Nearly two-thirds of Sudan's population, over 30 million people, need humanitarian assistance. About 3 million children under the age of five are at risk of fatal diseases, and about 16.5 million school-age children are out of school. In response to this, the United Nations and the international community have called on both sides of the conflict to immediately cease fire and ensure the rapid, smooth and safe access of humanitarian aid to all parts of Sudan.
Europe and America
(1) The United States
One person was injured in a shooting incident in Washington D.C. On March 10th, a shooting incident occurred in Washington D.C., the United States, leaving one person injured. On that day, during the standoff between Secret Service personnel and a man with a gun, the man with the gun was shot and injured. At present, the investigation into the incident is underway.
(2) Ukraine
The armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues. From March 10th to 16th, Russia's special military operation in Ukraine continued. The Russian Defense Ministry released a battle report stating that in the past week, the Russian army has regained control of 30 settlements, including Suja, in the western region of Kursk. The Ukrainian army lost approximately 67,630 troops in the Kursk direction. The lost weapons included 13 sets of US-made High Mobility rocket launcher systems (HIMARS) and 7 sets of US-made multiple rocket launcher systems (MLRS). The Russian army has begun to clear mines in the recaptured areas of Kursk Oblast in order to rebuild local production and living facilities after the war. In addition, the Russian army has carried out effective strikes on railway and energy infrastructure in places such as Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Ukraine. On the Ukrainian side, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that within this week, they successfully repelled nearly a hundred attacks by the Russian army in the Kursk region. In addition, the Ukrainian army attacked several important targets in Russia, including three oil refineries.
(3) Ecuador
Four shooting incidents resulted in six deaths and one injury. On March 10th, two shooting incidents occurred in District 1 of La Primavera in Duran City, Ecuador, resulting in a total of 5 deaths. On the same day, a shooting incident occurred in Mucho Lote 1, north of Guayaquil, leaving one man injured. On March 11th, a shooting incident occurred in the Mi Rosita community of Santa Rosa State, El Oro Province, Ecuador, resulting in the death of one man.

(4) Russia
Multiple areas were attacked by the Ukrainian army, resulting in 6 deaths and 27 injuries. On March 11th, nine regions of Russia, including Kursk Oblast, Bryansk Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, Ryazan Oblast and Kaluga Oblast, were hit by large-scale drone attacks from Ukraine, resulting in 2 deaths, 18 injuries, and varying degrees of damage to many buildings and dozens of vehicles. Flights have been suspended at airports such as Sheremetyevo Airport, Domodedovo Airport and Vnukovo Airport in Moscow. This is the largest-scale drone attack Russia has suffered so far this year. In addition, a shopping center in the town of Belaya, Kursk Oblast, Russia, was shelled by Ukraine on the 10th, resulting in 4 deaths and 9 injuries.
Maritime safety
(1) United Kingdom
A cruise ship collided with a cargo ship, resulting in one person missing. On March 10th, a collision between an oil tanker and a container ship occurred near the northeastern part of England, UK, causing a fire and explosion, resulting in one person missing. On that day, the product oil tanker "Stena Immaculate" flying the US flag was hit by the Portuguese container ship "Solong" while anchoring at the mouth of the Humber River, causing the oil tanker carrying aviation fuel to rupture, resulting in a fire and multiple explosions. 23 US crew members abandoned the ship and fled. Among the 14 crew members of the "Solong", one Filipino crew member was missing and 13 were rescued. At present, the Russian captain of the container ship "Solong" has been arrested by the British police and charged with gross manslaughter.

(2) Red Sea
The Houthi forces announced the resumption of strikes against Israeli ships. On March 11th, Yahya Sareya, the spokesperson of the Houthi armed group in Yemen, stated that the ban on Israeli vessels passing through designated areas such as the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Gulf of Aden would be reinstated as of that day. Military strikes would be carried out against Israeli vessels that violate the ban.
